Dr Seun Odiase

I trained as a doctor and have spent about 15 years in health technology: as a Chief Technology Officer, as Global Head of Health Services for a network of more than 140 clinics and pharmacies in five African markets, and now leading operations for a state-wide health information exchange in Lagos.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health from Imperial College London and am a Founding Member of the Africa Digital Health Academy. These courses teach what I wish someone had explained to me at the start.

Questions

Before you start

Is it really free?

Yes. The course, the quizzes and the certificate are free. You only need an email address to sign up.

Do I need a background in health or technology?

No. The course starts from zero and explains every term, so it works for clinicians new to technology and for technologists new to healthcare.

How long does it take?

About three to four hours in total, including the quizzes and final exam. You can stop and pick up where you left off at any time.

What does the certificate show?

It confirms you completed the course and passed the final exam with 80% or more. It is a certificate of completion, not a professional qualification or licence.

Who can sign up?

Anyone aged 16 or over. If you are 16 or 17, ask a parent or guardian to agree before you sign up. See the terms and privacy notice.

Is this medical advice?

No. The course is about how digital health systems work. It does not teach clinical care and is not medical advice.
